Aston University is one of the first universities to introduce integrated work placements during university degrees. At the bachelor’s level, this includes opportunities of integrated placement years and work experience in the UK or abroad. You can also study in Aston’s partner universities in the USA, Australia and Germany, as well as many more countries.
Work placements are also available at the master’s level. In Aston Business School, you have the opportunity to do an extended work placement of up to 12 months, including the opportunity to study abroad. In computer science and artificial intelligence courses, you can gain professional practice by completing an internship at the end of your course. You can demonstrate valuable international experience and increase your employability through work experience and study-abroad programs.

Birmingham is a West Midlands, England town and metropolitan district. Aston University is located in the heart of Birmingham, the UK’s second-largest city. You have the option to live on-campus accommodation so that you are only minutes away from your place of study or the city centre of Birmingham. You can walk from Aston’s safe green campus to the city centre in 10 minutes. Birmingham’s main train station has easy transport connections to cities such as London and Manchester, as well as Birmingham’s international airport.

- The main building in which all teaching takes place is the largest functional brick building in Europe. We also have campus resident geese that can be loud in the morning.
- It could be a very lively place on campus, and everybody's sitting on the green when the weather is warmer.
- There are fruit trees (apple, pear and plum) all over the campus, and the fruit is collected from them and put in baskets for free in the students ' union.
